We are an independent local church committed to fulfilling the Lord’s great commission in our part of New Jersey. We are traditional and conservative in our beliefs and conduct, as well as our worship. At KBC, we pray together, sing hymns, and preach and teach the Bible. Our desire is to see people experience the salvation that only comes through Jesus Christ, learn the word of God, and grow as Christians so they can know and pursue the will of God for their lives. We sum all this up in one motto: Making Christians.
Heaven and Hell Both are real places, and a person will spend eternity in one or the other. Heaven is a place of eternal joy and life where God abides, and Hell is a place of eternal judgement where someone is separated from God forever in eternal despair.
God and Satan (the Devil) Both are real beings. God created us and loved us enough to become a man himself to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Satan is a fallen creature that deceives others to keep them from knowing the God who wants to save them.
Salvation It can only come by accepting Jesus Christ— God’s Son and God Himself— as one’s personal savior. Once someone has accepted this gift, it is theirs for eternity.
Ordinances Two. Baptism by immersion is one’s public testimony of their salvation. The Lord’s Supper as He commanded us to do it in remembrance of His broken body and shed blood on our behalf.
Institutions God ordained three institutions: Marriage & the Family, Human Government, and the Local Church.
The Bible God’s word is available as He intended it to be today. We believe the King James Bible is God’s perfect word in English. The Bible is the greatest book ever written because it is written in eternity.
Church Participation A Christian should attend a local church regularly if they endeavor to be a disciple of Jesus Christ— learning about and exercising their faith.
1. You have to be convinced you are sinner, and be personally convicted of your sin.
2. Acknowledge you have no ability to atone for your sin.
3. Realize God gave his Son to be the atonement for your personal sin— He died, was buried, and rose again for YOU.
4. Tell God you are sorry for sinning, and want to accept Jesus Christ as your savior.
If you did this and meant it, God has saved your soul for eternity. You have begun a new life in Christ and need to learn about Him and become a disciple— an active follower of Jesus Christ.
